Neelyville

Neelyville is located fourteen miles south of Poplar Bluff and was originally called Neely's.  The town, like so many in the area, is a product of the timber industry and railroad.  In 1886, a branch railroad was built there that linked it with Doniphan to the west.  Once the timber was cut, cotton became the main source of income.
